History
Roots for the ArcticBBQ go back to summer of 2011 when I bought my first Weber kettle. It was on sale with a pitch “You can cook anything with this!”. Excited, I called my friend to tell about my new grill. He listened carefully and said, “I bet You can’t cook a Christmas ham with it”.
Well, ever since I grilled my first 9lb (4kg) ham on that Christmas, I have cooked outdoors more than hundred times a year. Regardless of the weather, I have fired up one or two of my many grills and cooked something great. Grilling unites people and serves good food. That is more than enough to get me thrilled!
So, what happened after first five years?
Blog
On Christmas of 2016 I decided to start publishing a blog about my experiences. After all, I already had some 500+ grilling experiments on my belt. I thought I could share something to other BBQ enthusiasts. Great pro tips for beginners, lessons learnt from epic failures and few stories about my adventures in BBQ community. The blog ArcticBBQ started to gain traction and on spring 2019 it hit 2000 monthly readers. That was a turning point for the next big step.
Online Store
Decision on opening an online store was quite easy. Based on the feedback I had got from my readers, I clearly had something to share. I am a BBQ enthusiast, which makes me passionate about anything related to outdoor cooking. As I am passionate about the food quality and its origins, I am passionate about the gear I am cooking with. Top quality food and great equipment makes me look like a pro and feel like a master. They make me enjoy my passion more.
Purpose
Purpose of the ArcticBBQ is to make You to enjoy your passion more. My blog posts are free and give you inspiration for your own experiences. Online store provides you with selection of hand-picked BBQ tools. They are limited editions of unique, hand made products and come from the handicraft masters who have practiced their art near arctic circle for decades. They make your BBQ day go one step beyond!
